The Balconies are an Ottawa three-piece who have leagues of followers in their hometown. Recently, the Ottawa Xpress took a poll and found that the threesome were voted by the Ottawa public as both the best Rock/Pop/Dance/Other Band and Best New Musical Act. As evidence by this, I’m pretty late on this one, also every other Canadian blogger has tipped you to their music. But, their music has hit my ears quite nicely this time and I’m ready to dive right into their self-titled album, released independently on Sept. 22nd.
