Ever wonder what happened to controller.controller and No Dynamics? Well, the rhythm section of the former along with the lead singer of the latter now comprise Lioness, Toronto’s newest bass-busting disco rock trio. Formed in the winter of 2007, the band has been building a buzz playing select gigs and afterparties for bands like !!!, You Say Party! We Say Die! and K-Os. Now they’ve got an EP to show the world, recorded by Rob Sanzo (controller.controller) and mastered by Nilz Patel (Bjork, Daft Punk, Air).
I can’t remember the last time I wrote about a band with no guitars….
