Toronto-based pop-rocksters, The Elwins have just premiered the video for the infectious hit “Hey! Ya, You”. The track is off their recently released full-length LP Beauty Community out NOW via Hidden Pony (Canada/US) and Elwins Music Group (outside North America).
On the making of the video, the band shares, “We worked with friends of ours from Toronto (Vanessa Heins, Zachary Rose & Jesse Korgemaa) who came up with a concept that touched on the meaning of the song in a manner that we all really liked.”
Check out new music from Dan Croll, Talos, LCD Soundsystem, The Elwins and many more. Something for everyone.

Toronto-based pop-rock quartet, The Elwins are gearing up for the release of their third full-length LP Beauty Community out October 13 via Hidden Pony (Canada/US) and Elwins Music Group (outside North America). Beauty Community features 13 freshly minted and ridiculously catchy tracks, including first single, “Hey! Ya, You”.
Says Elwins bassist Francesco Figliomeni, “Looking back, it kinda blows my mind thinking about all the different conversations we had about the new album and how much we supported each other through the process of making it. I guess it’s not exactly a surprise but a nice reminder that four different people with different tastes can come together and create something.”
Hey kids,
The year is coming to a close and I’m sitting here looking back on another year of blogging; another year of so many great tunes.
It’s always a challenge to try and sum up your year in one playlist. Here’s my best attempt, with my favourite songs of 2015 (via Soundcloud, Spotify, Youtube and new streaming site Playmoss). In my playlist I feature the likes of Leon Bridges, Day Wave, Big Data, Jack Garratt, Steven. A Clark, and many more.
*Note: This is not meant to be a Top 50 list where #1 is my favourite song. I love them all the same, plus the songs had to go in some order.
Signing off for 2015,
Chris
